The exhibition and conference dedicated to composite materials took place alongside Xylexpo as part of MaTec 2026
Composites Future, the Italian exhibition and conference dedicated to composite materials, took place from 9 to 12 June 2026 in Halls 14 and 18 at FieraMilano-Rho, alongside Xylexpo, as part of MaTec – Next Materials and Technologies.
The two halls, covering a total area of approximately 15,000 square metres, welcomed more than 10,000 visitors. The programme featured insights into composite technologies, materials and applications, with opportunities for discussion covering the sector’s different areas of use.
The composite materials industry is experiencing steady growth. In 2026, the global market for high-performance composite materials is estimated to reach a total value of approximately €100 billion.
The figure forms part of the overall results recorded by MaTec 2026, which welcomed 44,907 visitors over the four days of the event, approximately 25% of them from abroad.
The simultaneous staging of Composites Future and Xylexpo also encouraged interaction between the composites sector and the wood and furniture technology industry, highlighting areas of convergence between materials, technologies and industrial applications.
