The new industrial platform has met the expectations of exhibitors and visitors alike

A new trade fair initiative built on a long-standing heritage, capable of addressing the technological needs of industrial sectors – plastics, wood and furniture, and composite materials – that represent a highly significant share of Italian manufacturing.

This is the key message emerging from Fiera Milano Rho, where the first edition of MaTec 2026 came to a close on Friday, June 12 at 6:00 p.m. The exhibition platform brought together Plast, the trade show dedicated to machinery and materials for the plastics and rubber industry; Xylexpo, the biennial exhibition for woodworking and furniture industry technologies; and Composites Future, the inaugural Italian-made conference and exhibition dedicated to the composite materials sector.

Together, these industries generate a combined turnover of approximately €110 billion in Italy and, over the four days of the exhibition, from Tuesday, June 9 to Friday, June 12, demonstrated their remarkable vitality and dynamism.
